Contraband Radio 5/26
Hi reader. It's been awhile.
As you can probably guess- I struggle with consistency. The last Contraband Radio I did was over a year ago. I remember how fun it was writing these. I got sick of always playing games on my computer or doomscrolling on TikTok. It's pretty cliché to say, but starting projects really is the hardest part. Well, for my situation, it's starting it back up. I guess I owe whoever reads this an update on what I have been doing.
If you knew me in high school, you'd be pretty surprised that I actually like school now. My goal one day is to be a department head for a high school's history faculty. That being said, I'm around halfway in finishing my degree. On top of that, I'm currently finishing my education degree plus a masters in history. I realized that doing research papers and being part of academia is fun. But you know what's not fun? Doing a full course load. I thankfully survived this previous winter term- barely. Since going back to University, I have made the Dean's list and miraculously it looks like I'm making it again this year. Overall, participating in academia surprised me. I can't wait to write for journals one day.
This month's radio is pretty typical of me. Lots of new music, and some tracks that are familiar. As always, it's a clusterfuck of genres.
Thanks for reading. Hope to see you again.
In Solidarity,
Kalayaan
P.S. I've updated the Contra! Vault. It's a list of all my favourite tracks of all time. Go check it out!
